I am writing to give you an update of our progress at the caffè. We have been experiencing numerous delays, surprises, and unforeseen circumstances; resulting in a severely delayed opening – which I know you are well aware of. I’ll spare you all the details, just be assured that we are still sane. The good news is that things are finally moving along. We were hoping to be open for the 15th of December, but we received a disappointing phone call the other day informing us that our beautiful quartz table and count tops would not be ready until the second week of January. These kinds of delays have been haunting us throughout the renovation: one surprise after another.We do however; have some positive things to be happy about – such as the weather. The snow and the cold are signaling the approach of Christmas. This is the time of year that we start thinking about what to give the special people in our lives. We search for a thoughtful, meaningful, and unique gift. As a prelude to our opening we would like to offer you the opportunity to enjoy some of Da Capo’s delights over the holidays with your family and friends. We will be selling a few select products which will be available for pick-up at the caffè. This will include: Da Capo Caffè Gift cards, Antonio’s Gelato as well as gelato cakes, Mama’s Biscotti, Da Capo stainless travel mugs and of course our fair trade organic Da Capo Caffè – 1Kg (espresso beans). Our gelato cakes and logs are a perfect dessert for your special dinners. Da Capo’s Scuro and Medio espresso beans are the best way to start and end the day for the espresso aficionado. The sleek stainless steel mugs are the only way to enjoy Da Capo on the go. Our gift cards will delight the special people in your life and give them the pleasure of experiencing Antonio’s memorable moods.For all the regulars eagerly awaiting the opening, take comfort: we will continue to offer our famous cappuccino, fresh pastries, Antonio’s Gelato, and Mama’s Biscotti. With the arrival of chef, Daniele Costa, we are introducing Vino, Prosecco and Antipasto Fridays, Pizza Napoletana Saturdays and a breakfast frittata panino.
